Welcome to the Corkery Community!

The Corkery Community Association (CCA) has been a part of the community since 1990. In addition to our community centre building (which is available for rental), the facilities at the park include several soccer fields, baseball diamond, outdoor ice/in-line skating rink, basketball court and a play structure.  We would like to acknowledge and thank the City of Ottawa for being our partner and for the ongoing contribution to this Community Center.

Rink Boss Needed

Do you use the Corkery Community Rink?

Did you know the rink is maintained by volunteers and

overseen by a Rink Boss?

Without YOUR help there may not be a rink for the entire winter!

The Corkery Community Association board is looking for a new, PAID, rink boss.  The rink bos is responsible for:

  • Organize the process to get the rink up and running,
  • Organize volunteers to clear and flood the rink on a regular basis,
  • Write a short report for the City of Ottawa in the spring,
  • Several other, small responsibilities that the board will advise you on.

To support the rink boss, we also need volunteers to setup and maintain the rink by clearing snow and flooding the ice.  Typically, a volunteer is required to flood the rink one night per week.  This will take you approximately 0.5 - 1.0 hours in the evening.

Interested? Send the board an email
